SB Nation Reacts: Fans weigh in on the length of the MLB season

Last season the season was reduced to just 60 games, 37 percent of a ormal?162-game season. At this time there doesn seem to be any call for the 2021 season to be shortened that much, but it is possible that the season could wind up with fewer than 162 games due to health concerns.According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey Mickey Morandini Cat Jersey, fans want things to go back to normal with a full 162-game season. More than 60 percent of fans in the survey said they hope the season isn shortened at all. Even among the 38 percent of fans that would approve of shortening the 2021 season, many don want a large chunk of games taken away. 72 percent of fans want at least 141 games played, with only 16 percent asking for 121-140 games and 12 percent calling for fewer than 120 games.Beyond any games being lost to health concerns, there have been calls for the season to be shortened, just in general.
